Booking conditions

Thank you for your interest in booking me for a panel talk, keynote, presentation, or speech.

I’m honored to share my work, which often revolves around Indigenous peoples’ rights, women’s rights, Inuit culture and identity in Kalaallit Nunaat, and the fight for decolonisation and for our independence.

To ensure clarity and a smooth process, here are my travel and booking conditions:

1. Travel Logistics

• I am based in Nuuk, Greenland, and all travel arrangements must begin and end in Nuuk.

• Flights to and from Nuuk typically cost around 6,000 DKK, depending on the season and availability.

• I kindly ask that you cover all travel expenses, including flights, accommodation, local transport, and per diem (if applicable).

2. Accommodation

• Accommodation must be arranged and covered for the full duration of my stay, including arrival and departure days.

• I prefer simple, comfortable lodging with Wi-Fi access.

3. Honorarium

• Please note that my time and labor as a speaker and activist are valuable. I appreciate fair compensation in the form of an honorarium. This can be discussed based on the nature of the event and your budget.

4. Booking Timeline

• To ensure proper planning and preparation, I kindly ask that bookings be made at least 4–6 weeks in advance.

• Last-minute bookings may not be possible due to flight availability and personal commitments.

5. Content & Format

• Please provide a clear description of the event, including format, theme, duration of my participation, audience, and whether Q&A or media interviews will be expected.

• I reserve the right to decline events that do not align with my values or which I feel unqualified to contribute to.

6. Language & Accessibility

• I speak Greenlandic, Danish, and English. Please inform me in advance which language is preferred or required.

• I appreciate accessibility in event spaces both for myself and for participants.

7. Recording & Media

• If you wish to record my presentation or speech, or use it for promotional purposes, please request permission in advance and ensure proper credit is given.

8. Emotional Labor & Safe Spaces

• I often speak on topics related to colonialism, gender, identity, and intergenerational trauma. These are deeply personal and political issues, and I appreciate when event organizers ensure the space is respectful, inclusive, and safe for dialogue.

• I reserve the right to withdraw from participation if the environment is unsafe, hostile, or tokenizing.

9. Representation & Inclusion

• I prioritize events that include Indigenous voices and/or are organized with the meaningful participation of marginalized communities.

• Please let me know if other Indigenous, BIPOC, or gender-diverse speakers are part of the event.

10. Preparation & Collaboration

• I appreciate receiving questions or topics for discussion at least two weeks in advance.

• If the event includes a moderator or panel format, a short prep meeting (online or via email) is very helpful.

11. Cancellation Policy

• If an event is canceled after booking and tickets have already been purchased, I expect full reimbursement or that the organizer covers any non-refundable travel costs.

• I will also do my best to notify you well in advance if unforeseen circumstances prevent me from attending.

Thank you again for your interest. I look forward to potentially working together to foster meaningful conversations and change.
